Yakiniku!

First day in Japan, and maybe the fourth or fifth meal I had in “this day”! I went with my host family to a yakiniku (焼き肉) restaurant and ate a lot of grilled meat! Chicken, cow, pork… and we grill it ourselves! This kind of restaurants is very popular in Japan. We are given the ingredients and we make it ourselves!
On the way to the restaurant, there were really A LOT of open stores (restaurants, supermarkets, etc.), it’s so different from back home… The streets are really lively.
And this kind of restaurants gives a really nice familiar feeling. They almost look like someone’s home! Almost looks like everyone in the restaurant knows each other! It’s a really awesome experience. I think this is one excellent way to feel the bond, and the community feeling in Japanese Society!
