Today I’m introducing to you a very enjoyable anime!
Minami-ke (みなみけ, lit. The Minami Family) is a Japanese manga series by Sakuraba Koharu (桜場コハル). It was first serialized in the weekly Japanese manga magazine Young Magazine in 2004.
The slice of life comedy focuses on the everyday life of three sisters: Haruka, Kana, and Chiaki Minami. An anime series produced by Daume aired in 2007. Asread produced a second season in 2008 titled Minami-ke: Okawari, a third season in 2009 titled Minami-ke: Okaeri, and an original video animation (OVA) episode in 2009 titled Minami-ke: Betsubara. In 2012, Feel produced another OVA titled Minami-ke: Omatase, followed by a fourth anime series in 2013 titled Minami-ke: Tadaima.
Adding a personal note to this one, honestly I was quite reluctant when I started watching this anime. It is quite the “typical anime”, in my humble opinion. Not too brilliant, but not bad. However, I think there are plenty of anime series that are like that, but don’t give you a “want-to-watch-again feeling”, something that happened to me with this one. It really feels like watching it forever. And the authors might feel the same, as in the anime seasons come and go and the three sisters don’t advance in school grade (?). Maybe if they did got older, some of the fun of the anime would vanish.
So, despite the comment, I give this anime a 5-star rating. There are really a lot of things to see in this world… 🙂

The first one is the proof that anime songs are kinda similar among each other. (Ok, it’s the same series, so I’ll let it pass xD)
